Riders for Health featured in The Times Appeal

Riders for Health is proud to say that we have been chosen as the international charity in the Times Appeal. Throughout December, the Times will feature inspirational stories and photos from our work in Zambia, The Gambia and Lesotho. In the first article, on the front page of yesterday’s newspaper, Lucy Bannerman wrote about Mambwe Kaemba, a health worker from Zambia whose work has been transformed by her bright red Riders for Health Yamaha motorcycle.

A Riders™ appeal raises £634,770 to improve access to health care in Africa

Supporters of Riders for Health have raised a fantastic £317,385 during our summer appeal. Now, as part of the UK government’s Aid Match programme, this has been doubled to £634,770.

The money raised in the appeal will help Riders ensure that more health workers in Africa have the reliable transport they need to deliver health care to everyone who needs it, no matter where they live. The matched funding will specifically help support programmes in Zambia and Kenya.
